Repro:

1. Launch CRM
2. Navigate to Settings
3. Click Customization
4. Click Customize the System
5. Expand Accounts(or any entity)
6. Click on Forms
7. Click to open Accounts Main Form
8. Click on New Field button from right side bottom
9. Add a test field with name Test 1
10. Select Data type as Multiple-line text--> Save and Close
11. Click on New Field button once again
12. Add a test field with Name Test 2
13. Select Data type as Multiple-line text--> Save and Close
14. Back to the form page from Field Explorer select Custom Fields from the filter
15. Drag and Drop the fields Test 1 and Test 2 one by one
16. Double click and Open Test 1
17. Click on Formatting tab
18. Under Row Layout area Check Automatically Expand to use available space
19. Double click and Open Test 2
20. Click on Formatting tab
21. Under Row Layout area Check Automatically Expand to use available space
22. Click OK

It gives a warning message that Another auto-expanding field is already on this tab. To set this field as auto-expanding, click OK. To leave the original field as an auto-expanding field, press Cancel

Instead of limiting the Auto-expanding to 1 field, users should be given an option to select auto-expanding to any number of fields they require.
Many users use the auto-expanding fields so that they view the entire text at one go and that enhances productivity of a user instead of scrolling through the entire notes
