Dear Microsoft Business Central Team,
I would like to propose an enhancement to the Get-NAVAppInfo cmdlet to improve its usability and efficiency in identifying installed applications. Currently, the command provides details about published applications but does not explicitly indicate whether an application is installed.
Proposed Enhancement: Adding an -IsInstalled
flag in the Get-NAVAppInfo
output to indicate whether a published application is installed. This feature will help users distinguish between merely published apps and actively installed ones.
Suggested Output Addition:
IsInstalled : True/False
Benefit of This Feature:
- Provides clear identification of installed applications among multiple published ones.
- Reduces ambiguity when validating application presence.
- Enhances automation scenarios by allowing scripts to check installation status before executing dependent operations.
- Improves troubleshooting and administrative efficiency.
This addition will significantly aid Business Central administrators and developers in managing extensions more effectively. I appreciate your consideration of this feature request and look forward to your feedback.
Best regards,
Umesh Verma
